That’s how old this album is. Evil Empire was released April 16th, 1996.

Went to “Rock the Bells” in 2007, Rage closed the show in the pouring rain, it was amazing.

I liked the first record better. I think I had that one on a constant loop for a few months.
I also love the description of this record store performance video.

God damn, really? I was just listening to this album the other day.
I thought the 90's were still just 10 years ago, right......?

Me too, EE was good, but the original (now 24 years old) was better.

I never really got into Evil Empire. The first album was an impossible act to follow. 10 tracks of very cohesive hard rock/rap/funk. Evil Empire felt like a collection of B-sides in comparison. Not bad, but second-tier material IMHO.

Yeah, it was just yesterday that I was a kid in junior high listening to this cd.

I was actually holding off buying a CD player, because they were still making all the albums I was buying on vinyl.
When I couldn’t find RATM on vinyl, I said to myself
“Welp, I guess I need to stop by Circuit City on the way home now.....”

Yeah, but I think Battle of Los Angeles is a worthy successor.
